The soft tentacles are the ideal size for your baby to hold on too. It imitates the feel of the umbilical cord, calming even the small of babies, making them feel safe and secure.
For babies in the NICU, clever people in Denmark found that the babies are less likely to pull on the tubes and wires, instead using the tentacles of the octopus to distract their busy hands.
This lovely toy is made from the softest of plush and is 22cm tall, so will be a great pal for a long time after discharge from the NICU.

Better for baby's delicate skin
Babies have delicate skin, especially premature babies because their dermis - which is the last layer of skin - is not completely formed. Organic cotton is gentle and kinder to a baby's skin.
There is less of a chance of baby developing skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis and skin allergies. It is mould resistant and antimicrobial too.
Better quality and longer lasting
Because the fibres have not been damaged by chemicals during production, the quality of the cotton is superior. Therefore, clothing made from organic cotton should last longer than those made of conventional cotton.
Better for the planet
For environmentally conscious shoppers there's no doubt that choosing to buy organic cotton clothing is better for the world. Organic cotton farming is less polluting, uses less energy and water, and the health of workers is also not compromised.
So why do we sell non-organic cotton clothing too?
Many of our products are organic, but you do pay a premium for premium products. So to offer a range of value priced items too, we also sell a lot of standard cotton clothing, with no complaints.
It really is down to how sensitive baby's skin is, personal preference, and budget.
