We met Pedro, owner of Huggee at a baby clothing exhibition in London and loved their organic baby clothes so much we booked an appointment to meet up a couple of weeks later.
But it wasn't just about the clothing, we loved their ethics too and how passionate about it they are. For every Huggee baby product you buy, Huggee give a meal to a child from a slum of Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. The distribution is made by MCF, a Portuguese organization that helps children to break the cycle of extreme poverty. The life of Maria da Conceição, founder of the organization, and her work are very inspiring.
All Huggee's baby clothes are made with organic cotton and certified by General Organics Textile Standard (GOTS). Huggee's baby clothes are produced in an environmental friendly way and with fair social conditions, ensuring low impact in nature and in human health, for they reduce the direct exposition to hazardous chemicals.
