Edinburgh Hospital’s Kind-hearted Security Guard Knits Socks For Premature Babies

Edinburgh Hospital’s security guard has been knitting premature baby socks, tiny hats, mittens and booties for premature babies at the specialised unit.

Bruce, who is a very thoughtful person, sits for many hours in between his regular checks at the hospital’s infirmary to knit garments that he sends to the neonatal unit. Bruce also does his best to post some of the garments to early arrivals around the world.

Bruce’s premature baby socks knitting has gone viral after a colleague, Nicola Findlay,  posted a picture of him busy knitting the socks. The post has attracted close to 5.4k likes and more than 2.4k shares since the first time it was shared on the 1st of october.

Many people have come out to praise Bruce’s work saying he is a wonderful and caring person. Many parents say how such acts from kind hearted people like Bruce have helped them care for their premature babies.
