Where can I buy very small baby clothes?

READ THE ARTICLE OR SHOP VERY SMALL BABY CLOTHES

The term very small baby clothes is subjective, and the popular baby clothing size 'Tiny Baby' can be a little misleading too. This is because the tiny baby size is typically for babies weighing between 4lb and 7.5lb, so not the tiniest of babies at all.

For the purposes of this article when we talk of very small baby clothing we are discussing the smallest of baby clothes for the smallest of premature babies. Those babies weighing between 1lb and 4lb.

These very small babies are typically on the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) or SBCU (Specialist Baby Care Unit) in a hospital, so they need clothes that are appropriate for dressing a baby in an incubator and attached to lines and tubes.

This is an example of a very small baby incubator vest (for babies weighing 1.5lb-3lb).

These vests are wrap-around style, this enables these tiny babies to be dressed with minimum disturbance which is so important.

For those babies who need a few more layers, we also supply wrap-around dresses:

And wrap-around tops for the smallest girls and boys:

Another must-have purchase for micro-prem babies are scratch mittens, and importantly ones that actually stay on. We recommend the stay-on mittens by Goumikids, these come in micro-prem size as well as 0-3 months:
