Clinically tested! Babies in the NICU can get up to mischief pulling at the tubes and wires they are connected to, which can be very dangerous. These specialist mittens are proven to significantly reduce accidental extubation in the NICU as well as stopping scratching, making them a must-have purchase for a premature baby.
These specialist premature baby mittens are more expensive than most, but that's because they're the best. The video below explains all.
The signature two-part closure system ensures scratch and germ protection and allows adjustable fit as baby grows. The Little Mouse tip is to make sure they are not too tight, and change position regularly especially on the tiny prem babies.
These anti-scratch mitts were tried by our very own chief product tester, our very stubborn and constantly scratching newborn daughter with great success! Plus over 300,000 pairs have been sold in 35 countries, with glowing reviews.
The machine-washable, 70% viscose from bamboo/30% organic cotton blend is breathable, naturally antimicrobial and environmentally sustainable.
High contrast pattern on the reverse side stimulates infant brain and eye development.
These anti-scratch mittens have been designed to be very functional, but also adorably stylish too.
Here the founders of Goumi Preemiemitts demonstrate the great features and significant benefits of their premature baby mittens.

Better for baby's delicate skin
Babies have delicate skin, especially premature babies because their dermis - which is the last layer of skin - is not completely formed. Organic cotton is gentle and kinder to a baby's skin.
There is less of a chance of baby developing skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis and skin allergies. It is mould resistant and antimicrobial too.
Better quality and longer lasting
Because the fibres have not been damaged by chemicals during production, the quality of the cotton is superior. Therefore, clothing made from organic cotton should last longer than those made of conventional cotton.
Better for the planet
For environmentally conscious shoppers there's no doubt that choosing to buy organic cotton clothing is better for the world. Organic cotton farming is less polluting, uses less energy and water, and the health of workers is also not compromised.
So why do we sell non-organic cotton clothing too?
Many of our products are organic, but you do pay a premium for premium products. So to offer a range of value priced items too, we also sell a lot of standard cotton clothing, with no complaints.
It really is down to how sensitive baby's skin is, personal preference, and budget.
