Gillian's inspiration for launching Little Mouse Clothing and Gifts came after years of working as a Senior Neonatal Specialist Nurse at several hospitals including, Sheffield, Great Ormond Street Hospital, Sydney, and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.

She'd seen so many parents despondent at the lack of choice available for their premature baby and too many people struggling to dress their baby with outfits that just aren't practical for a tiny baby; especially if it's connected to lines and tubes.

So we searched the world for products that are practical and stylish. Working with designers, manufacturers and boutique brands, to come up with a range of products that will make the lives of premature babies - and their parents - that little bit better. And today we offer clothes and gifts for not-so-tiny newborn babies too.

Our emphasis is on high quality ethical products that are stylish and affordable; as well as being practical. And for quality control purposes we've typically focused on British. American, or European brands.

Gillian also wanted to make it easier for people to buy the right clothing for the premature baby in their life, so she produced our Buyer's Guide. She recognises that buying for a premature or a tiny baby can be difficult, and it's important that people understand the importance of getting it right. Our gorgeous Gift Sets have been put together to make it easier to choose suitable gifts too. 

As for the name, Gill became quite well known among the hospital wards for calling the baby in her care, "my Little Mouse", so naming the business was easy!
