Our Founder has worked with 100s of premature babies
It's babies like this beautiful little customer and their families, that were the inspiration for Gillian to launch Little Mouse; after years of working as a Senior Neonatal Nurse at several hospitals, including Great Ormond Street and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.
She had seen so many parents despondent at the lack of clothes available for their premature baby, and too many people struggling to dress their baby with outfits that are ill-fitting or aren't practical for a tiny baby; especially if it's connected to lines and tubes. This is not only bad for baby, but really gets parents down too. She just had to help!
We want to ensure families of premature babies also get gifts and cards!
Having witnessed parents of premature babies on the NICU/SCBU receiving less gifts and cards than healthy full-term babies, Gillian wanted to make it easier for loved ones to find suitable gifts, to know what to buy, and what to write in a card. This is why we offer lots of advice on our website as well as beautifully packaged products and cards with a handwritten message.

Our Ethics

We really really care
We're really proud of our little family-run business and it's in our nature to want to do a really good job for our customers. Especially for families of babies in hospital as we know this can be a really challenging time. It's why we support hospitals and charities too.
Additionally we can't afford to let people down. We're a little business that relies on word of mouth and great reviews on Trustpilot, Facebook and Instagram.
Why else buy from a little company?
When you buy small, you not only get personal service and fair prices. You know who you are buying from; you’re helping a family to earn a living. You're helping to boost employment and income in the community as well as helping to increase tax for local governments as small businesses don't have foreign ownership and offshore bank accounts.
These are the reasons we try to support independent businesses anyway! :)
